Research Study Opportunity
During the Friends for Life Conference
For an innovative Smartphone* app study for diabetes management.
*If your child does not currently own a Smartphone, one will be provided for their use during the study.
Who can participate?
Children and adolescents 0 to 18 years old who have Type 1 diabetes currently managed with multiple daily injections or pump therapy.
Parents/Guardians must be able to read and write English language and currently use a Smartphone.

FRIENDS PEDIATRIC STUDY
Roche Diabetes Care, Inc. is conducting a research study using new technology for diabetes management solutions in children and adolescents. This study will take place during the Friends for Life Conference.
As a participant in this study, you will be asked to complete
In appreciation of your time, you will receive ...
- Baseline Visit
- Provide informed consent
- Complete a pre-study questionnaire
(parent/guardian and 18 year old adolescent)
- Train on the Accu-Chek® Connect Diabetes
Management System which your child will use during
the Friends for Life Conference.
- Study End Visit
- Complete a post-study questionnaire
(parent/guardian, 18 year old adolescent and
child/adolescent (8-17 years) with type 1 diabetes)
Each enrolled participant will get to keep the Roche Accu-Chek®
Connect Diabetes Management System free of charge. In addition, families who participated in the study will receive a $50 gift card for their time and efforts.
